A Work in Progress
We have recently purchased this building in East Fremantle which will soon become our new Centre. It will provide a more spacious and comfortable environment in which to enjoy teachings, meditations and meeting with spiritual friends.
Many people have worked hard over the past ten years to create the causes for a property to be purchased by offering their time, skills and services to the building project as well as by supporting and organising fundraising events and making donations.
While we think that our new building is close to perfect, it does require a little work before it’s ready for us to move in – in particular, a beautiful new Gompa (meditation room) needs to be built.
There are a couple of ways in which you can help.
Make a donation
We are currently fundraising to assist with the provision of disabled facilities, kitchen renovations, carpet, seating and furnishings for the Gompa. All donations to the Building Fund are tax deductible. If you would like to make a donation you can do so here:
Donations can also be made by depositing funds directly into our Building Fund.
Name: Dharmapala Buddhist Centre College Building Fund
Please include your name in the description and contact Kelsang Ani at email@example.com to let us know your address so that we can send you a receipt for your tax deductible donation.
Work to build the Gompa and make modifications to the existing building will start in October. Once work starts, there’ll be many opportunities to help on-site – you don't need any skills (though please let us know if you have any!), just a willingness to help – please email Kelsang Ani at firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest to help.
Although this is a very large project it is our intention to maintain as many of our regular classes as possible during the period of the building work. Those classes that would normally have run from the Centre will now run from the Meeting Place, 245 South Tce, Fremantle.
