Empowerments
Health, Long Life and Wisdom....Meet White Tara
Blessing Empowerment and Teachings
Friday 6 Dec & Saturday 7 Dec
In this blessing empowerment we meet White Tara and learn how to come under her special care. White Tara is a female Buddha whose function is to bestow long life, wisdom and good fortune. It is said that when we rely upon her we will receive her help as swiftly as the wind moves.
Following the blessing empowerment there will be a commentary to the practice of White Tara and an opportunity to engage in that practice. There will then be teachings to help us improve our wisdom.
What is an Empowerment?
Empowerments are special ritual ceremonies in which we receive a personal introduction to a particular Buddha and receive their blessings so that we may attain the same qualities as them in the future. Once we have received the blessings of a particular Buddha it is like they become a special, close friend and if we rely upon them we will receive their help and protection. If you have never been to an empowerment before, don't worry, you will be guided in what to do during the actual ceremony. Everyone is welcome to attend.
