Meditation and Buddhism Class with Buddhist Teacher Iain Johnson
Venue: Westerly Family Centre, 27 Westerly Way
These classes present Buddha's teachings in a practical and accessible way and are suitable for everyone. Each class consists of a guided breathing meditation, a talk by the Teacher on an aspect of Buddhist practice or philosophy and a guided contemplative meditation. There is also an opportunity to ask questions at the end, either in class, or stay and have a cup of tea.
Classes are run in blocks with a common theme, however each class is a stand-alone class so you don't need to start at the beginning of a block or even attend all the classes in that block, just drop in as you are able to. There's no need to book and no previous meditation experience is required.

Living Mindfully (4 weeks)
Develop the power to overcome disturbing thoughts and to stay focussed on what brings you peace of mind both in and out of meditation.

Dissolving difficulties (5 weeks)
Buddhist understandings and meditation that will solve daily problems of frustration, anger and hatred.

Prevent future suffering and establish the foundation for lasting peace and happiness though an understanding and belief in karma.

Achieve lasting happiness in your life, through practicing the Buddhist way of loving kindness.
